ABOUT KATE

Kate Poitevin lives in Spokane, WA in an 1897 fixer-upper with husband Jim, Murphy the ginger cat, and grand-dog Brighid, a black and tan Chihuahua.(she was Taylor’s) They have three grown children, six grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and several grandchildren-by-choice. She is also blessed with by the best group of friends in the world.
Born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, she graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School, class of ‘67. After a two-year stint in New Jersey and one in Seattle, she returned home, eventually found Jim and settled in Spokane in 1980.
Kate is a Regional Chieftain in the Irish Clan Cian and spends many of her summer weekends at Highland Games around the Pacific Northwest with her Celtic family. She is a founding member of the Tin Pencil Writers Group and treasurer of Spokane Authors and Self Publishers. She also enjoys her memberships in Eastern Star and Amaranth.
She and Jim recently bought a derelict sailboat fixer-upper and look forward to long weekends on the water.
